Lily Collins becomes Movada wristwatch ambassador alongside Kerry Washington, Derek Jeter, Sun Li and Wynton Marsalis


Founded in 1881, Movada is one of the world’s most prestigious wristwatch brands, well known for championing Modernist design.
Last year it added Lily Collins to its roster of Movada brand ambassadors to feature in its updated Modern Ahead of its Time advertising campaign shot by fashion photographer Carter Smith and launching this fall. Find out more about the Movada Cerena watch worn by Lily.

Born in England, Lily relocated to Los Angeles, California at the age of 5. She made her film debut in the 2010 Academy Award-nominated film The Blind Side and most recently starred as Snow White in Mirror, Mirror with Julia Roberts . In 2013, Collins will play the lead role of Clary Fray in the film The Mortal Instruments, based on the ultra-popular young adult fantasy novels by Cassandra Clare . She will also star in upcoming films The English Teacher with Julianne Moore and Writers with Jennifer Connelly .

As a teen, Lily discovered a passion for journalism and began writing a column for Elle Girl UK. She has also written for The Los Angeles Times and CosmoGirl and covered presidential inaugurations and conventions for Nickelodeon and for Seventeen magazine.

KERRY WASHINGTON
Acclaimed actor and arts advocate currently starring in the 2012 television drama Scandal, Kerry Washington is versatile and gifted performer who has built an impressive list of credits in a relatively short period of time. Winner of ‘Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture’ for Ray at the NAACP Image Awards in 2005, Kerry garnered critical acclaim for her role in The Last King of Scotland opposite Forest Whitaker for which she was nominated for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture’ at the NAACP Image Awards in 2007. In 2009, Kerry made her Broadway debut in David Mamet’s Race and starred in the Tyler Perry film For Colored Girls with an all-star cast of actresses. DEREK JETER
Extraordinary athlete, humanitarian and leader, baseball superstar Derek Jeter was drafted by the New York Yankees as the sixth overall pick in the 1992 Major League Baseball draft. In 1996, his first full season in the Major Leagues, he helped the Yankees win the World Series and was named the 1996 American League Rookie of the Year. Jeter, a twelve-time All Star, has gone on to lead his team to 4 additional World Series titles – in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009. On July 9, 2011, he achieved his 3,000 Major League Hit, becoming a member of that exclusive club. In 2011, he set the record for most games played at shortstop for one team and set Yankees’ records for stolen bases and career games played. Derek established his charity, the Turn 2 Foundation, in 1996 to encourage young people to ‘turn to’ healthy lifestyles and avoid drugs and alcohol – the foundation supports and creates programs to achieve these goals. SUN LI
A classically trained dancer, actor, singer and model, Sun Li is highly regarded as an emerging artist in Mainland China. She has delivered an impressive array of critically acclaimed performances, beginning with her break-out role in China’s most-watched television drama, Jade Goddess of Mercy, which led Sun to become recognized as one of the most promising young actresses in China. In 2004, she was named ‘Favorite Actress’ at the Golden Eagle Awards, and in 2006 was lauded as ‘Best New Artist’ at the Hundred Flowers Awards for her portrayal of a blind girl in her first feature film, Fearless. In 2009, she notably portrayed the heroine Little Tiger in the acclaimed mini-series Iron Road, the second joint venture created under the Canada/China co-production treaty established in the 1960s. In 2011, she played Zhen Huan in the TV series biography of the Legend of Zhen Huan, praised as one of the best historical dramas in the Chinese mainland in recent years. WYNTON MARSALIS
Celebrated Movado brand ambassador Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer, bandleader and educator – and a leading advocate of American culture. Wynton has won nine Grammy Awards and is the only artist to have won a Grammy in five consecutive years. He is the world’s first jazz artist to perform and compose across the full jazz spectrum, from its New Orleans roots to bebop to modern jazz. In 1997 Wynton Marsalis became the first jazz musician ever to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his epic oratorio Blood On The Fields. Wynton’s creativity has been celebrated throughout the world, and more than 25 of America’s leading academic institutions have conferred honorary degrees upon him.
